Judice Inn Familes Bio

Alcide and Marc Judice returned to Lafayette after serving their country in the military during World War II. They each brought home the dream of a better life and with the help of many family members, built Judice Inn brick by brick with the aid of flashlights after their day jobs were complete. With the help and support of their wives (Pearl Cormier Judice and Gladys Bourque Judice), the two brothers opened Judice Inn on April 5, 1947 to make their dreams a reality and a Lafayette tradition.

The restaurant has always been a family run business. Generations upon generation of the Judice families have maintained the integrity of Judice Inn's founders by concentrating on the best possible product and offering personalized customer service. Alcide and Marc provided each of their children (six and seven respectively) with a college education. This act of generosity has provided the growing city of Lafayette with a lawyer, doctor, banker, engineer, accountant, teacher, nurse, and a business administrator - each of whom have kept their roots in Acadiana and their support in this community.

Although Marc and Alcide never realized large financial gains from their efforts, their hard work and total dedication to their families, their business and their community has resulted in the richest rewards that anyone could desire:

1) Thirteen children who are extremely grateful for the college educations which their parents provided as well as the work ethic which was instilled by their parents' example.

2) The respect and gratitude of a large following who have witnessed the hard work and generosity of the two founders.

3) Generations who will enjoy the same "hangout" that their fathers and grandfathers once enjoyed.
