2010 Gala Auction Items
As customary, a major component of each year's Spring Gala is both a live and silent auction. LIVE AUCTION ITEMS!! (If time permits, items from the Silent Auction may be pulled to the Live Auction.) 1. Private Party at Judice Inn: The Judice Inn Families know how to throw a party and you are invited. Better yet, it will be your party! You and thirty of your closest friends can enjoy a private reception at the Judice Inn as our Spring Gala honorees grill, serve, and clean up. We’ll also include a Rocky Perkins print of “The Inn” to remember the special occasion. 2. Cultured Pearl Necklace: Exceptional quality from Paul’s Jewelry, a beautiful strand of 9mm cultured pearls with white gold clasp is eighteen inches long. Just in time for Mother’s Day! 3. UL Alumni Association Scholarship Package: The lucky student of your choice will receive a $2,000 scholarship for the 2010 – 2011 academic year, an on-campus parking spot for two (2) semesters, and a $200 Cajun Cash card. Geaux Cajuns! 4. Carrie Underwood Concert Package: Winner of American Idol 4 and country music superstar Carrie Underwood will perform at the Cajundome on May 8th. Receive four tickets to the President’s Suite for the concert and ride in style with limo service provided by J.D. Morein. Experience dinner for four at Zea Rotisserie & Grill before the concert begins. 5. Private Dinner at the Alumni Center: The dining room of our beautiful Alumni Center will be the setting for you and seven guests to enjoy a private dinner prepared by Artisan Catering’s award winning chef Gilbert Decourt assisted by chef Joe Broussard with over thirty years of catering experience. They will present a four course meal comprised of selections from their repertoire of “Culinary Classic” gold medal winning dishes with two matching wine selections. The table will be beautifully set with a floral arrangement designed by The Gardenaire, Inc. 7. U.S. Open Golf Tournament in Pebble Beach, California: The 2010 U.S. Open Championship, June 14th – 20th, will mark the fifth time that the storied Pebble Beach Golf Links has hosted this prestigious event. Mark the occasion and be a part of the experience! This trip includes round-trip airfare for two, five-night hotel accommodations, six-days of rental car service, and two (2) five-day passes to the U.S. Open Golf Tournament. 8. Wine Tasting at the UL President’s House: Lift your glasses high and enjoy this private wine tasting and dinner for eight at the UL President’s House. The wine tasting will be conducted by a Republic Beverage Company Certified Specialist of Wine. You and your guests will love it when they learn more about how to enjoy the fruit of the vine! See the SuperBowl XLIV Champions Play Live in New Orleans: An exciting gift for the ultimate New Orleans Saints fan: Two (2) New Orleans Saints 50-yard line suite tickets in the Superdome.
