President: Martin 'Marty' Audiffred, ‘75, ‘78
B.A. and M.S. in Audiology – Marty is a Pediatric Audiologist in private contract/consulting service. He is a Past President of the Louisiana Speech and Hearing Association and was elected to represent the Audiologists of Louisiana at the national level. He served in the U.S. Navy for five years. Marty is Past Chair and member of the Homecoming Committee, recipient of the Volunteer Award 2001, and served as Spring Gala auction chair. He and his wife, Lee (‘69) have two daughters and three grandchildren.

President Elect: Mary Galyean ‘80
B.A. in Radio and Television Broadcasting – Mary is the General Manager of Citadel Broadcasting in Lafayette, with multiple stations in the cluster: KRRQ-FM, KNEK AM/FM, KSMB-FM. She was the Outstanding Graduate from the College of Arts and Humanities. Mary was an honors student, active in SGA and president of the Union Program Council. She has served on the Alumni Council for several years. She currently serves on the Corporate Board of the Boys and Girls Club, is a member of the Junior League of Lafayette and is PTC President of St. Ignatius School . She is a past board member of Acadiana Open Channel, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Acadiana, American Cancer Society and March of Dimes. She and her husband Frank Olivier, III, attorney, have two children: Allie, Quentin and she has one step child, Franco.

Vice President of Marketing & Communications: Dwight Prudhomme, ‘84
General Studies - Dwight is the Executive Vice President of Republic Beverage Company (formerly Magnolia Marketing Co.) and Director for the Louisiana Restaurant Association, State Board and Acadiana Chapter Board. Dwight is a four year letterman at quarterback for the Ragin’ Cajuns from 1979-82. He has also served on the Alumni Council and held the position of President of the Ragin’ Cajuns Lettermens Club in 2004. He has been involved with the Spring Gala and Homecoming events. Dwight is married to Judy and has one daughter, Ava.

Vice President of Facilities: Sonny Launey, ‘68, ‘69
B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering – Sonny, a New Orleans native, is a licensed engineer in Louisiana and Texas. His engineering career has been spent with the Air Force, Freeport McMoRan and he is currently with Denson Engineers. Sonny is a past member of Louisiana’s Engineering and Land Surveying Licensing Board and is active with the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES) working on the Structural Exams and is Chair of the committee which oversees all of the NCEES exams. His service with the University includes College of Engineering Alumni Chapter President and is a member of the UL Civil Engineering Advisory Boards. He and his wife, Sandra, have two sons: Chris (‘95) and Patrick.

Vice President of Clubs and Chapters: Robbie Bush ‘76
B.A. in English – Robbie is the owner of Associated Wayfarer and Passport Travel. His civic associations include Lafayette Kiwanis Club (former president), Lafayette Area Association of Travel Agents, Lafayette Chamber of Commerce (board member), and Partner in Education advisory board member, chairman of National Amadeus Automation Committee, and drummer with the Robbie Bush Band. Robbie and his wife Julie (‘72) have two children: Brian, a U.S. Marine currently serving in Iraq, and Emily.

Vice President of Community Affairs: Chantelle Aaron, ‘95

BS in Science with a concentration in exercise science - Chantelle owns Physical Therapy Advantage, Inc. She has previous served the Alumni Association in the capacity of Alumni Council member-at-large, Christiana Smith African-American Alumni Chapter vice president of events, and the College of Education Alumni Chapter member-at-large. Through the Alumni Association, she has helped with the football season ticket drive and Sweet Sounds of Sharing, an annual event organized by the Christiana Smith African-American Alumni Chapter. She is also active with Progressive Baptist Church -nursery, piano classes and childrens' choir.

Vice President of University Relations: Jim Slatten, ‘80
BA in Liberal Arts in 1980 and a JD and MBA from Tulane University. Jim is vice president of Corporate Affairs at Darcy Energy, LLC, an oil and gas exploration and production company and a subsidiary of IB Daiwa Corporation, a Japanese publicly traded company. He has been a member of the Alumni Council since 2001, and in 2005 he was named the the executive board. Jim is an avid Cajun fan and in 2004, he was selected as the mens' basketball team's Rabid Red Dot Fan of the Year. LAst year Jim was an Honorary Cajun Football Coach, having won the honor in the Alumni Association's Spring Gala auction.

Vice President of Membership & Fundraising: Darren Guidry, ‘84, ‘92

B.S. in Finance, M.B.A. – Darren is the Chief Lending Officer for Home Bank. His involvement in the community includes serving as area commissioner and U5-U12 girls and boys soccer coach for 12 years, Acadian Home Builders Association board member and Alumni Association volunteer. He has been involved with the Spring Gala as auction committee chair. He and his family are members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he serves as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He and his wife, Michelle (‘84, ‘87) have four children: Garrett, Grant, Kristen and Caroline.

B.A. in Speech Pathology – Theresa is a Speech Pathologist for the Vermilion Parish School Board. She has served on the Alumni Council since 1997, serving on the Talkin' UL, Scholarship, Centennial Towns and Spring Gala committees and as a Phone-a-thon volunteer. She is a Past President of the Vermilion Parish Ragin’ Cajun Club and serves as an alumni speaker at Commencement. She is also active in the community, working with groups such as United Way of Acadiana, and Vermilion Catholic's EAGLE VISION. She and her husband Randall (‘75) have three children: Josh (‘00), Tricia (‘02) and Kayla (‘05).
