Ragin' Cajun Spirit Award
This award was created and funded by former Alumni Association President Sid Ory, the man credited with coining the term “Ragin’ Cajuns.” It recognizes a university employee who exemplifies the enthusiasm and never-say-die spirit of the Ragin’ Cajuns; nominations are only accepted from University employees. The Ragin’ Cajun Spirit Award includes a $500 stipend for the recipient and a physical award. It began in 2000 and is given annually, with exceptions, at Leadership Weekend. Recipients have been:
