Spring Gala

Instituted in 1997, the Annual Spring Gala has been a fundraising event which University and community supporters await each year. On a given Saturday, the University of Louisiana Alumni Association hosts the Annual Spring Gala, our only fundraising event, on the grounds of the beautiful Alumni Center. The evening is one of the highlights of the year for us. The funds generated from the Spring Gala go towards the continued maintenance and upkeep of the Alumni Center, one of the "gems of the University."

The UL Alumni Association is fortunate to honor Dr. David Fisher as our 2012 Spring Gala honoree. The celebration is scheduled for Saturday, April 14th from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will be held on the grounds of the UL Alumni Center. Dr. Fisher will be honored for his dedication and faithful support of the University and our community.

The Spring Gala offers fine food, entertainment and both silent and live auctions that will include a variety of attractive offerings including original artwork, unique gift assortments, travel opportunities and Ragin' Cajuns merchandise. Jim Slatten, president-elect of the UL Alumni Association, serves as chair of the Spring Gala and Donna Mellington serves as Spring Gala auction chair.

Tickets are $200 per couple or $100 per individual. Corporate sponsor tables may be purchased for $5,000 and patron sponsor tables are available for $2,000. Proceeds from the evening are entirely dedicated to maintain and make improvements of the landmark Alumni Center, a building that we are proud to have as a focal point of the University. Since its inception in 1997, the event has surpassed the $1,000,000 milestone in net proceeds.
