Athletic Hall of Fame

The UL Lafayette Hall of Fame gives perpetual recognition to those athletes who have made a significant contribution to the good name of the University by demonstrating exceptional ability and sportsmanship on the playing fields, commendable scholarship in the classroom, high quality leadership on the campus and elsewhere and who after leaving the University have established a personal reputation for character and citizenship in the community in which they reside. The purpose shall also be to further remind each new generation of athletes of the tradition they must strive to uphold and the ideals that they should strive to realize while they are wearing the uniform of the athletic teams of the University. The process for induction into the Hall of Fame usually starts in mid-summer and culminates with inductees being honored at Homecoming. The requirements to enter the Hall of Fame are stringent and the applicant must be nominated. The application and selection process are governed by members of the Board of Directors of the UL Lafayette Lettermen Club, an organization of former athletes that have lettered in their individual sport. If you have questions or comments regarding the Hall of Fame, please email Shane Johnson.
