What is our Membership Discount Program?
The UL Alumni Association encourages you to participate in its Membership Discount Program. This program is designed to give UL Alumni Association members special discounts to local Acadiana businesses as well as businesses out of state. The member simply shows his or her Alumni Association membership card upon time of purchase in order to receive their discount. The discount you provide is completely up to you!
Over 5,000 Alumni Association members reside in the Acadiana area! Many UL graduates are prominent business people and will be a tremendous asset to your clientele list. Examples of participating businesses include Acadiana Prescription Shop 10% off prescriptions, Oats & Hudson 10% off attorney fees for any real estate closing, LaCombe Eye Center 20% discount off eye exams and eye wear, and Get Wet Shop 10% off all regular price purchases. The Alumni Association offers other benefits to Association members such as UL Lafayette library privileges and University Bookstore discounts.
Enrollment in the program is free and by offering your discount to Alumni Association members, the Association agrees to list your business on a roster mailed to each Association member, recognize your business in the Alumni Accents semiannual newsletter, list your business online and provide your link on the official UL Alumni website, www.LOUISIANAalumni.org.
We hope you will share in our UL pride by joining our Membership Discount Program and bring in added business to your organization. You also have the option of participating in the Red Dot Program and offer the same discount to UL Lafayette students. Upon enrollment in the program, a sample membership card and program sticker will be sent you.
Look for this sticker to receive an alumni discount when shopping at local merchants. When you don't see it, ask the merchant to participate in the program.
